County Plans $1,400,000 Bond Sale

Groundwork for a $1,000,000 new Spartanburg County Court House bond issue, plus $400,000 worth of road improvement bonds, was being laid Wednesday.

County Board said work on schedules for the 2 securities sales would have immediate attention.

The date for sale of the million dollar issue which will make possible the building of a long-needed Court House here, has been set.

INDICATIONS are that the issue will be marketed within the next several months and that contract for the structure will be awarded soon after the bonds are sold.

The $400,000 road improvement bond issue is expected to be marketed first. This will complete sale of a $1,000,000 total of bonds authorized for highway purposes under the supervisor's office in Spartanburg County.
