SPECIAL NOTE OF APPRECIATION: While the Director and his staff have developed and enjoyed a special working relationship with other Sheriffs over the years, we have never enjoyed a closer nor more cooperative relationship than we now have with Sheriff Chuck Wright and his staff.  Without their support, we could not have accomplished some of the things we have done. In addition to Sheriff Wright, special appreciation is given to Mr. Tony Fisher, Director of Public Safety for the City of Spartanburg, who unselfishly allowed the jail's emergency response team to assist him and his department in resolving a hostage situation that drew national recognition. The trust and confidence shown by Sheriff Wright and Mr. Fisher in the jail staff's abilities is deeply appreciated, and we will continue to strive to maintain their faith and trust as we continue working together in the future. On a personal note, the Director wishes to thank the County Administrator, members of County Council; and the public at large for their continued support and trust.
